What Bet Types are Available and What Do They Mean?

Before placing your bets you may wonder what type of bets are available for you. The guide below gives all the bet types available and explains what each one is. From a single bet to a combination tricast, all the information is here.

Win Only Betting

Also called a single bet, a Single is a bet on 1 selection in one event, in this case the match winner. Your selection must be successful to get a return.

Highest Break

Specific to Snooker this one, pretty self-explanitory really, similar to a single bet except rather than betting on the match result, the bet is placed on who will score the highest break or the ammount of century breaks in a game.

Snooker Specific Bets

There are many, many ways to place a bet, below are listed some of the most popular bets, Football specials are only offered on certain games closer to the time of the match. If you fancy placing a special bet, check back here and there will be an explanation of that type of bet.

Doubles

A Double consists of 1 bet involving 2 selections in different events. Both must be successful to get a return

Trebles and Accumulators

These are similar to a double in that they consist of one bet involving 3 or more selections in different events. All selections must be successful to get a return.

Trixie

A Trixie consists of 4 bets involving 3 selections in different events. The bet includes 3 doubles and 1 treble. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.

Patent

A Patent consists of 7 bets involving 3 selections in different events. The bet includes a single on each selection, plus 3 doubles and 1 treble. Just one successful selection guarantees a return.

Yankee

A Yankee consists of 11 bets involving 4 selections in different events. The bet includes 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and an accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.

Lucky 15

Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets involving 4 selections in different events. The bet includes 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 fourfold. If only one selection wins, as a consolation returns are paid to double the odds. If all four selections win, a bonus of 10% is added to total returns. For the bonus to apply, all selections must win (none void or non-runners). For each-way bets the consolation is paid only on the win part of the bet. Lucky 15 bets are accepted on horse racing and greyhounds only.

Canadian (Super Yankee)

A Canadian (also known as a Super Yankee) consists of 26 bets involving 5 selections in different events. The bet includes 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 fourfolds plus an accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.

Lucky 31

A Lucky 31 consists of 31 bets involving 5 selections in different events. The bets include 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 fourfolds and an accumulator. If only one selection wins, returns are paid to double the odds. If all five selections win, a bonus of 15% is added to total returns. For the bonus to apply, all selections must win (none void or non-runners). For each-way bets the consolation is paid only on the win part of the bet. Lucky 31 bets are accepted on horse racing and greyhounds only.

Heinz

A Heinz consists of 57 bets involving 6 selections in different events. The bet includes 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 fourfolds, 6 fivefolds and an accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.

Forecasts

A forecast bet is one where you predict the first and second in a horse or greyhound race. For details of the sources used for forecast dividends, and additional rules relating to forecast betting please see our Rules for Horse Racing and Greyhounds.

Straight Forecasts

This bet involves 2 selections in 1 race finishing 1st and 2nd in the order named. A Straight Forecast (FC) dividend is declared based on the Starting Prices (SP's) of all the horses in the race. (A Straight Forecast is known in many countries as an Exacta). e.g. 1.20 Lingfield

Dizzy

£10 SFC

1 Unit Stake = £10.00
1 Race = 1.20 Lingfield
2 Selections

The first named selection (Pistol) must be placed 1st, and the second named (Dizzy) must be placed 2nd for this bet to win. If successful you would receive 10 times the Computer Straight Forecast (CSF).

Tricasts etc.

As you can see the list goes on, essentially all other bets are varients of the prevous betting types. If you decide to place a super-heinz (120 bets) for example, you probably don't need us to tell you how to place one of these!!.
